JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has entered into an agreement with Axon for a field test and evaluation program of the latest technology in body-worn cameras, according to a release from the agency.
The program will begin in early 2018 once the equipment has been delivered.
During the program, cameras will be deployed to 50 deputy sheriff personnel chosen from a variety of divisions within the Sheriff’s Office.
This no-cost trial will test equipment durability, ease of use, maintenance, data storage costs and overall effectiveness of this newest technology.
