BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department has arrested three men in connection with the non-fatal shooting of an officer that happened late Thursday night, according to a social media post by BPD.
Birmingham police arrested Montrell Towns, Duane Jones and Lilbrian Ladd. Each of the men has been charged with attempted murder and discharging into an occupied vehicle, with bonds totaling $400,000.
“Montrell Towns and Duane Jones were caught within hours after the shooting,” according to the post. “Towns was found hiding underneath a vehicle by the department’s K-9 Unit and members of the N.E.T. team. Jones was found by patrol officers in the area. Lilbrian Ladd turned himself in. Each will be transferred to the Jefferson County Jail.”
