There is no acceptable excuse for leaving a family pet outside in this weather. I have indoor pets but a re-homed feral cat who loves the outdoors and lives on our land. He is inside and will remain inside until this weather ends. Is it more trouble? A little. Do the other pets like him? Not really but he’s tolerated. And yes he drives me crazy with his pawing at me, bites, meowing at the crack of dawn etc… but HE IS IN. Bring. Your. Pets. In.

Even if all you can do is have them in your basement or a closed in porch with some blankets, itβs better than them being left outside to freezen to death. Do whatever you need to do to protect your fur babies.

We had a stray come up last week. She is in our shed. Food, water and blankets. Animal Control is due to pick her up I guess after the holidays.
