PINSON — Pinson Valley quarterback Bo Nix announced his commitment to Auburn University via a video on social media Wednesday.
Nix posted a tweet that included a video of him reciting part of the Auburn Creed before putting on a hat with the university’s logo on it. Included in the tweet was the word ‘committed.”
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn tweeted out “Boom!! War Eagle!” after the video was released.

Nix is the No. 57 recruit overall and No. 2 dual-threat quarterback nationally among the current junior class, according to 247Sports.
He had previously posted his other top choices as Clemson and Ohio State.
Nix’s father Patrick, the head coach of the Pinson Valley football team, was a quarterback at Auburn from 1992-1995.
