From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE –All city facilities in Trussville will be closed on Tuesday due to potential inclement weather, according to Mayor Buddy Choat. Additionally, Trussville police are asking citizens to stay off the roads after the snow moves in.
Jefferson and St. Clair counties are under a winter weather watch and a winter weather advisory. Snow is expected to arrive in the metro area between 10 a.m. and noon on Tuesday. Due to low temperatures, roads could deteriorate quickly and travel could be very hazardous when the snow begins.
“Police, fire and public works will be working, but all other departments are closed,” Choat said.
All other departments will be closed.
“Once the snow starts, if you don’t have to drive, please stay off the roads,” police chief Jeff Bridges said. “It’s not worth risking your life or someone else’s life. Our patrols will be out and they’re equipped to handle the road conditions. As for everyone else, we hope they’ll stay home and stay safe.”
