PINSON –On Christmas Day, Adam York, 38, was no different from many in Pinson. He was a healthy father of three, a small business owner and involved in his community as vice president of the Friends of Turkey Creek Nature Preserve.
He and his wife, Felicia, were ready to celebrate the day, happy that they had successfully nursed their three children through a bout with the flu.
Go Fund Me page has been set up to help defray medical costs. So far, $14,071 has been raised toward a goal of $200,000.
“I found out last night that a guess at how much this will cost is $100,000 for three days on the ECMO machine,” Felicia York said. “We are on day twelve.”
