TRUSSVILLE –Armoni Goodwin is yet to carry the ball for the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies, but he’s already garnered two scholarship offers and he’s just a freshman.
Goodwin, who has been touted by some as the best freshman running back in America, picked up offers from UAB and Jascksonville State this week.
A recent transfer from Florence High School, Goodwin gave the Huskies an up-close look at his ability when HTHS faced his former team this past football season. In that match-up, Goodwin ripped off scoring runs of 75, 6, 95 and 85 yards and wound up with a spectacular 370 yards rushing. Hewitt won the game 45-35.
