From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
All of Central Alabama, including Jefferson and St. Clair counties, will be under a flood watch from 9 a.m. on Saturday to 6 p.m., according to Alabama Wx Weather Blog.
“A prolonged period of moderate to heavy rains will continue to add up and could result in rises in rivers, creeks, and low lying areas,” the report says. “Localized flash flooding could occur with any training as well, but the bigger threat will be from prolonged rain.”
Rainfall over the weekend may reach one and a half to two and a half inches.
