TRUSSVILLE – The Boys basketball team ended the 2017-2018 season with a 58-41 loss to Gadsden City in the opening round of the AHSAA Area Tournament. The Huskies finished the season with a 15-9 overall record.
Hewitt finished regular season Area play with a 4-2 record and were awarded home court advantage for the Area Tournament after winning a coin flip with Grissom.
Thursday night, the Huskies had four players named to the regular season All-Area Team: Damon Harper, Malachi Moore, Bryant Howell, and Jaxon Hunter. Saturday night at the conclusion of the tournament, TJ Alexander and Bryant Howell were honored as two members of the 2018 All-Tournament team.
