There is something special about Poor House Branch Marina.
Located at 7062 Stemley Road in Talladega, offers everything you need to get into a boat and out on the lake. Named the No. 1 Avalon dealer in Alabama for the past 10 years and the No. 5 Honda engine dealer in the Southeast, Poor House Branch Marina is also has Honda certified mechanics on staff.
In 2015, the business received the Most Distinguished Dealer Award. Poor House has over 50 boats to choose from in various styles and colors including Avalon pontoon boats. Anyone who comes to Poor House looking to purchase a boat will be talking to Sales Manager
Eddie Rush.
“Avalon pontoon boats and Honda engines are top of the line. I handle the sales aspects of the business,” he said. “When I speak with a customer, I find out what it is they plan on doing with the boat, how they are going to use it and who will be using it. Then I try to fit them with a boat that works for them.
We have a full-service department, parts, dry storage, and we service personal watercraft as well. We have the sales, the convenience store, a boat launch and pontoon boat rentals. We can help a customer with basically anything as far as maintenance goes. Our guys can work on just about anything there is out there.”
Boats sales are far from the only way in which Poor House can help its customers. With the expertly trained staff to prove docking assistance and waterside concierge services for customers with dry storage, boaters can enjoy special treatment.
“Dry storage starts out at $110 a month,” Rush said. “If you call ahead of time when you get here we’ve wiped your boat down, filled it up with gas, put it in the lake and it’s tied up at the pier ready to go. Then all you must do when you get back is tie it up and leave it. We take care
of the rest. We also keep boats in storage serviced.
You don’t have to sit out there and wait for us to bring the trailer around. We take good care of our customers. When things are convenient people will use their boats more.”
