Clay-Chalkville rising senior defensive lineman D.J. Dale picked up offers from Florida State and Texas A&M over the weekend as the standout continues to pile up overtures from the nation’s top schools..
Dale has offers from seven SEC schools — including Alabama and Auburn. The 6-foot-3 265-pounder was The Trussville Tribune’s Defensive Player of the Year of the 2017 season.
Florida State also dropped off offers to Hewitt-Trussville offensive lineman Pierce Quick, quarterback Paul Tyson and wide receiver Dazalin Worsham.
Huskies incoming wide receiver Ja’Varrius Johnson — a transfer from St. Clair County — picked up an offer from Jacksonville State.
In non-football news, Pinson Valley’s Christian Hopkins committed to wrestle at Huntingdon.
