TRUSSVILLE — A wreck occurred yesterday morning that left a 21-year old woman from Trussville with minor injuries after her car left the roadway and struck a tree.
According to Detective Mike Bruce with the Trussville Police Department, the woman was traveling southbound on Service Road at around 7:40 a.m. when her car left the roadway for what he said were unknown reasons.
The woman struck a tree and was trapped briefly before firefighters from the Trussville Fire Department arrived at the scene and freed her.
She was transported to Grandview Medical Center. Fire Chief Tim Shotts said her injuries were minor.
