JEFFERSON COUNTY –Jefferson County sheriff’s detectives are investigating after a shooting at a residence in the 4600 block of Ray Place in the Bluff Ridge area of southwest Jefferson County.
Just after 6:30 p.m. on Monday, deputies responded to a report of a person shot. They arrived to find a 28-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The male was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the sheriff’s office, the victim came to the residence to confront the homeowner about an inappropriate relationship he believed the homeowner was having with his wife. A fight began and the homeowner pulled a gun and shot the victim.
The investigation is ongoing.
