CENTER POINT — A shootout occurred last night at the 2300 block of Center Point Parkway where two people were injured by flying glass, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened after 5 p.m. last night when a car pulled into the parking lot of a drug store. According to the sheriff’s office, a passenger of the car exchanged gunfire with a group in another vehicle before it fled.
Afterwards, deputies arrived to respond to the scene and found an adult male and adult female injured by flying glass. They were taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. No one was shot during the incident. Four suspects have been detained and are being questioned.
