CHILTON COUNTY –A Chilton County woman is in a coma in the Intensive Care Unit at UAB Hospital after a wreck early Wednesday morning.
Jessica Paschal was involved in a vehicle crash as she traveled on her way to work in the early morning hours of this past Wednesday, according to the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office.
“As she went over an incline in the road there were two black cows in the road,” CCSO said in a statement. “Her car hit the cows, left the roadway and went into a pond. She was airlifted to UAB with life threatening injuries. She remains in a coma in intensive care at this time. Doctors report that it will take a miracle from Heaven for her to survive.”
Friends of Paschal have set up a Go Fund Me account to help with medical expenses.
On Saturday, a Facebook page asking for prayers for Paschal said her family was asking for prayers at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
“The Paschal family request that church families and everyone who believes in the power of prayer please have a moment of prayer at 11:30 tomorrow March 18,2018 for Jess and her family. Doctors are saying that she needs a miracle. We know that our God is able, if we Pray , He will answer.”
