A single-vehicle crash has left a Gadsden man dead, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Lavaris Donte Jones, 22, died when his car was overturned.
According to ALEA, Jones refused to stop for the Steele Police Department. His car eventually left the roadway on U.S. 231 and overturned on an embankment one mile south of Oneonta. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Jones died on his way to a hospital. Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
