TRUSSVILLE — On March 20, Trussville police made a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of a pair from Kentucky for drug possession and trafficking.
The stop happened at the parking lot of a Shell gas station on North Chalkville Road in Trussville. Police stopped Jon Kirtley List, 53 of Owensboro, Kentucky and Brendi S. Cruse, 21, also of Owensboro.
The pair were arrested and taken to Trussville City Jail after a K9 responded and smelled narcotics in the car.
“The arrests were made in conjunction with what had been an ongoing investigation by the Trussville Police Department’s Narcotics Unit,” said TPD Sgt. Michael Bruce.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found methamphetamine, pills, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun. Warrants were later obtained through the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office charging the pair with drug and drug trafficking offenses.
List was charged with Trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. His bond was set at $25,900.
Cruse was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $25,600.
