According to recent estimates by the U.S. Census Bureau, St. Clair is among the fastest growing counties in Alabama. The estimates show that the population is approximately 88,199 in July of 2017, a growth from 83,593 in April of 2010.
There are 14 other counties in the state that have experienced a growth of residents in the recent times. Those counties include:
– Autauga: 55,504 from 54,571
-Pickens: 20,176 from 19,746
-Marshall: 95,548 from 93,019
-Houston: 104,346 from 101,555
-Cullman: 82,755 from 80,410
-Elmore: 81,677 from 79,296
-Coffee: 51,874 from 49,948
-Tuscaloosa: 207,811 from 194,657
-Russell: 57,045 from 52,951
-Madison: 361,046 from 334,811
-Shelby: 213,605 from 195,218
-Limestone: 94,402 from 82,782
-Lee: 161,604 from 140,296
