MOUNTAIN BROOK –A two vehicle crash on Wednesday claimed the life of a Mountain Brook woman, according to Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates.
Yates said Jacqueline Williams Mills, 82, was traveling westbound on Highway 280. She was killed when the vehicle she was driving made a left hand turn and was t-boned by an eastbound vehicle in the far right lane.
The crash was in the 2700 block of Highway 280 in front of Wendy’s and the Hampton Inn.
The wreck occurred at 2:24 p.m. and Mills was transported to UAB Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 3:29 p.m.
Both occupants of the East bound car were transported to UAB hospital with serious injuries, according to the Mountain Brook Police Department.
