From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Voting that normally takes place at North Park Baptist Church on Deerfoot Parkway in Trussville will be temporarily moved to the Trussville Civic Center for the June 5 primary elections and the July 17 runoff.
The move is due to ministry programs, including vacation Bible school, at the church that would conflict with the election.
“We are glad an arrangement could be worked out with the City of Trussville to use the Civic Center for the primary and runoff,” said Barry Stephenson, who is chairman of the Jefferson County Board of Registrars. “We are also glad we will be able to move back to North Park for the general election in November. The North Park precinct has worked very well for the county and the city.”
According to the Board of Registrars, there are around 4,300 voters in the North Park precinct. All voters will get a notification through mail and, on the day of the election, the church will have signage directing voters to the civic center.
The Trussville Civic Center is located at 5381 Trussville Clay Rd.
