From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE –After being closed for an extended period for extensive renovations and a new addition, the Trussville Public Library will reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday.
The City Council awarded the construction bid to Blalock Building Company on September 13, 2016. The project was bid twice after the council rejected the first round of bids. The process included the demolition of the former community center to make way for the new expansion.
The new addition includes an auditorium and meeting space. The cost was $4.3 million before change orders and additions.
