BIRMINGHAM — A body that was found by family members on March 30 has been identified by the Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office. Gilbert George Morgan, II was identified as the decedent and Birmingham police suspect that his death was a homicide.
Morgan was positively identified by family and by fingerprints, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates. He was found at his home by family members who were checking on him because they had not heard from him in several days.
The cause of his death has not yet been released. Birmingham police continue to investigate.
