BIRMINGHAM –For diners that would like a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa with their Sunday brunch, the dry spell is over.
Beginning April 15, a new law allows Birmingham restaurants to begin selling alcohol at 10 a.m. on Sunday. The law applies to restaurants only and only those in the Birmingham city limits.
The old law restricted sales until after 12 noon.
The state legislature passed the measure in the most recent session and Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin sign it into law on Tuesday.
