ETOWAH COUNTY — Gadsden evangelist Paul Edward Acton Bowen, 37, has been jailed in Etowah County on seven new charges relating to child sex abuse, according to Carol Robinson. Last week he was arrested in Pelham and charged with sodomy, child sex abuse and enticing a child for immoral purposes.

This morning, Bowen was booked at Etowah County Detention Center before 10:30 a.m. where he now faces two counts of second-degree sodomy, as well as two counts of enticing a child for immoral purposes and three counts of second-degree sexual abuse.
The amount of charges he faces in Jefferson and Etowah counties numbers ten altogether. He was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Bowen’s bond in Jefferson County totaled $90,300. His bond is $500,000 in Etoway County.
Bowen, who founded Acton Bowen Outreach Ministries, has denied all of the charges against him.
