PINSON — Pinson Valley High School will receive a grant from Alabama Possible, a nonprofit organization that promotes “Cash For Alabama campaign,” which promotes completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA.
According to a statement by Alabama Possible, PVHS is ranked among the highest in improvement rates in promoting “college-going culture” including completing the FAFSA. Alabama has been rated in the top four states making improvements in student aid.
“We are thrilled to see that Alabama is ranked at the near top of the list nationally for improvement in FAFSA completion,” said Alabama Possible’s executive director, Kristina Scott. “Too often, we focus on Alabama’s low rankings, so we’re ready to celebrate this win.
