SPRINGVILLE – On April 24 and 27, Springville High School held a St. Clair County golf tournament that ended with the Springville Tigers taking the championship. In addition to the Tigers, teams participating were the St. Clair Saints, the Moody Blue Devils and the Ashville Bulldogs.
The first round was led by the Tigers with a score of 193. During the round St.Clair and Ashville were tied with a score of 212. Nate Harbuck of the Springville Tigers topped the leader board with a 42 while Dallas Tidmore from the Ashville Bulldogs was at second place with a score of 44. Jack Hobbs of Springville and Hunter Dailey of Moody were both tied with a score of 45.
The Tigers won the championship with a score of 202 in the second round. Leading Springville was Jack Hobbs at 45, Nate Harbuck at 49 and Connor Lesley at 49. The Ashville Bulldogs were in second place and was led by Tidmore at 44.
The tournament’s low medalist winner was Tidmore. Hunter Dailey of the Moody Blue Devils was the second low medalist while Hobbs was the third low medalist. The low medalist for the Springville Tiger girls was Lana James.
