From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
Center Point and Clay-Chalkville high schools will be among five other schools to take part in the Summer Food Service Program, sponsored by the Jefferson County Board of Education. The program, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, was launched to provide free, nutritious food to children under 18 who don’t have access to breakfast or lunch at their schools.
The program will begin on June 4 to July 26 except for Brighton School, which will be from June 4 to 28. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at all locations. Elementary schools operate Monday to Thursday and high schools operate Tuesday to Thursday.
All locations will be closed on the week of July 1 to 7.
