DENVER, COLO. — According to Trussville Fire and Rescue, one of it’s members helped evacuate a plane that caught fire after landing in Denver, Colorado.
Lt. Paul Givens was on a flight to Denver to attend the funeral of his sister when smoke was noticed after landing. A fire had somehow begun inside. Assisted by other passengers, Givens was able to help people off of the plane.
“With help from a couple of other passengers, Lt. Givens helped passengers evacuate the plane in a calm and orderly manner and make sure everyone got out safely,” Trussville Fire and Rescue stated in a post on its Facebook page. “We would like to thank Lt. Givens for his professionalism both on and off duty.”
