TUSCALOOSA –Springville is hitting on all cylinders at the 5A North Central Region in Tuscaloosa, after posting their second shutout of the day with a 6-0 win over Hayden.
The Tigers’s first run came when Dorsett was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Nolen followed with an RBI single and a fielder’s choice gave Kyser an RBI and Springville an early 3-0 lead over Hayden.
In the 3rd inning, the Springville bats got hot again. Chapman had an RBI triple followed by Dorsett’s line drive RBI single. Dorsett scored on an error to stretch the Tiger lead to 6-0.
Hayden threaten to spoil the shutout with runners on second and third in the 7th, but the Tigers held them off to collect their second win of the day.
Springville’s next game is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday
