St. CLAIR COUNTY – Beginning at 7 a.m., Monday, May 14, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right lane of I-59 Northbound for Clearing Operations from north of the St. Clair Springs Exit (MP 156) to south of the Ashville Exit (MP 166).
This lane will be closed for the removal of trees and debris from the clearing operation.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday.
This same lane closure will be in place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.., from Tuesday, May 15 thru Saturday, May 19.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
