BIRMINGHAM – Police are investigating a case in which a victim was found in a truck in west Jefferson County on May 16.
At around 11:25 a.m. yesterday, officers from the West Precinct responded to a report of an unresponsive person inside an parked truck at the 1101 block of Bankhead Highway. When they arrived, they found the victim, who is an unidentified black male and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of death was unknown but the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office later ruled it a homicide. The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Police continue to investigate the case. No suspects have been brought into custody.
