MONTGOMERY — Judith Ann Neelley, 53, who was convicted in the murder of several people in the 1980s, was denied parole at a hearing today, according to WVTM 13.
Relatives of one of Neelley’s victims, Lisa Ann Millican, were present at the hearing to request that the board deny her parole. Lisa Millican was a 13-year-old girl who was murdered by Neelley and her then husband Alvin Neelley in 1982. In the same year, Janice Chatman was murdered by the pair before they were apprehended.
Rumors of Neelley waiving her parole hearing were reported but the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles clarified that no waiver request was filed and the hearing would be set for May 23. According to AL.com, she is eligible for parole in 2023.
