PANAMA CITY, FLA.–A 31-year-old Birmingham died after being pulled from the gulf at Panama City Beach on Saturday.
According to mypanhandle.com, Darrius Stone, Jr. of Birmingham was pulled from rough waters by four individuals, but attempts at CPR failed to resuscitate him. The incident occurred at Tropic Winds Condos in the 17643 Front Beach Road. Red flag warnings were in effect at the time.
Stone was swimming with friends when they lost sight of him. Rescue units were called to the scene and transported him to Bay Medical Beach emergency room where he was pronounced dead.
