TRUSSVILLE –Alberto has weakened from a subtropical storm to a tropical depression after landfall, but heavy rains and gusty winds will still be a problem from Alabama to the Great Lakes.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issue a flash flood watch for Jefferson, St. Clair and Blount counties until 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Chances of rain will remain at 100 percent through Tuesday.
According to the NWS, heavy rains of 2 to 5 inches are likely with locally high totals of 6 inches.
Daily rain chances will remain in the forecast through Friday.
