ST. CLAIR COUNTY — On June 5, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close lanes on I-20 to perform Geotechnical Investigations. Lanes will be closed beginning at Exit 140 to .87 miles east of Kelly Creek Road in Moody.
With weather permitting, work will be performed on the eastbound left and center middle lanes, which will be followed by the westbound left and middle lanes. These lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
“Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Geotechnical Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.”
