BIRMINGHAM — A woman living in southwest Birmingham was wounded after exchanging gunfire with a man inside her home, according to Carol Robinson.
The incident occurred at about 8:15 a.m. this morning at the 2100 block of Powderly Avenue when the woman arrived home where she found the suspect. Gunfire exchange followed.
The woman was taken to Princeton Hospital where she was treated for serious injuries though they are not life-threatening, according to the report. A person of interest was identified by Birmingham police but they are not yet in custody.
