TRUSSVILLE –Two adults and one juvenile have been arrested in the armed robbery in a Trussville shopping center parking lot, according to Lieutenant Phil Dillon.
“Trussville Detectives obtained warrants on James Edward Hicks of Riverside, Jamorris Dywone Staten of Birmingham and a unnamed juvenile from Fairfield,” Dillon said.
Hicks is charged with first degree robbery and fraudulent use of a credit card with a bond of $25,000.00. Staten is charged with first degree robbery with a bond of $15,000.00. The unnamed juvenile is charged with first degree robbery and third degree assault with a bond of $15,000.00.
“Hicks and Staten have been arrested and the unnamed juvenile is going to turn himself in,” Dillon said.
The charges and arrests were in connection to a robbery on June 6 in a parking lot of the Promenade at Tutwiler Farm shopping center in the 1600 block of Gadsden Highway in Trussville.
Dillon thanked the Metro Area Crime Center for their help in the case.
