BLOUNT COUNTY –According to Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey, a jury has found Tim Clevenger, former assistant principal at Locust Fork High School, guilty of one count of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
Clevenger was arrested in February 2015 after his school computer revealed that he possessed a video of a child under the age of 17.
Evidence showed that Clevenger videoed a 14-year-old female through the window at his house while she was a visitor in his home visiting Clevenger’s daughter. The teenager was preparing to take a shower when she was video taped without her knowledge.
District Attorney Casey applauded the work of the jury. The trial lasted five days.
“Today is a victory for the victim in this case. She was present in court all week and showed great strength,” Casey said.
Clevenger was taken into custody after the jury’s verdict. He faces a minimum of 20 years.
Clevenger still has charges pending in additional cases with additional victims.
“We appreciate the work of the Blount County Children’s Center and the men and women at the Blount County Sheriff’s office who worked on this case,” Casey said.
