From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — With weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will perform an inspection of the Interstate 59 northbound bridge over the Cahaba River at Milepost 142.8 in Trussville on Monday, June 25. This will require lane closures near the area of work as the inspection takes place.
Starting at 9 a.m., ALDOT will close the right lane and shoulder of I-59 Northbound as the inspection takes place. After work is complete on the northbound direction, work will then shift to the southbound direction.
All travel lanes will be reopened no later than 3 p.m., ALDOT said.
“Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Maintenance Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.”
