BIRMINGHAM — A homicide investigation is underway after a 62-year-old man was found dead by a relative inside his apartment in Birmingham.
The victim has been identified as Terrall Thurman. According to BPD Sgt. Johnny Williams, officers from the South Precinct responded to a report of a deceased person at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police arrived at an apartment on 14th Avenue South where Thurman was found unresponsive by a family member. Detectives categorized his death at first as unclassified but was later reclassified as a homicide when additional evidence emerged.
“The manner of death will not be released at this time pending additional investigation by detectives and an examination by the coroner’s office. No suspects have been identified at this time.”
