BIRMINGHAM – The National Weather Service announced this afternoon that a severe thunderstorm warning remains for Jefferson and St. Clair counties until 7 p.m.
At 3 p.m. this afternoon, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Oak Grove, Patton Creek, and Wilsonville moving southest at 35 mph.
The NWS warns of possible penny size hail and 70 mph wind gust, which could cause tree damage and damage to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Please be advised that these storms are producing widespread wind damage.
