VINEMONT –According to the Alabama State Troopers Office a 90-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman died after a head-on collision in Vinemont on Monday.
“A two-vehicle crash at 2:30 p.m. on Monday has claimed two lives,” Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel said.
Shirell Clyde Hyatt, 90, of Vinemont was seriously injured when the 2002 Honda Accord he was driving collided head on with a 2015 Ford Mustang driven by Dalton Edward Wade, 20, of Gardendale.
Mr. Hyatt died of his injuries while in route to Huntsville Hospital. Alma Nail Hyatt, 84, of Vinemont was pronounced dead at the scene. Wade was not injured.
The crash occurred on U.S. 31 in Vinemont.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
