A Jefferson County grand jury issued the indictment against Tonio Givens, 20, and James Sinclair, 21, who are both charged with attempted murder. Givens also has two charges of theft of property from another incident.
In February, the two were arrested after deputies responded to a shooting at the 100 block of 3rd Street in Docena. Shortly afterwards, two victims were transported to area hospitals to be treated for gunshot injuries.
Deputies learned that the two victims were riding in a car through a neighborhood with a man, who is the boyfriend of one of the victims. The man was involved in a dispute with James Sinclair, 21, who was in the neighborhood with Tonio Givens, 20. They opened fire on the car, wounding the two women.
Givens is still in the Jefferson County Jail on bonds totaling $80,000. Sinclair was released with an $80,000 bond in March.
