TRUSSVILLE— The Youth Sports Exchange Belgium basketball team competed in Trussville along with the Trussville Parks and Recreation youth basketball league.
YSE- Belgium director of basketball operations Mark Peeters said that this is always an enjoyable experience for him and the teams.
“Its fun to have the cultures come together and have fun playing basketball,” he said.
His sons Nick and Wesley Peeters coach the teams. Nick finished school in Alabama as a 2011 graduate of Crenshaw Christian Academy and says that it is fun showing the kids around when there is a little bit of down time from basketball.
“We travel a lot and see fun places and some kids don’t get a chance to come here so basketball is important, but having fun in America is a plus too,” Nick said.
