BIRMINGHAM — A suspect has been identified and arrested in the murder of 63-year-old Spencer Burch in Birmingham on July 5.

On Thursday, July 5, officers from the East Precinct responded to the 100 block of Oporto-Madrid Boulevard South on a report of a person shot. Burch was found and taken to UAB Hosptial where he was later pronounced dead.
Dejaun Hall, 22, of Birmingham, was arrested in connection to the homicide. A warrant of Capitol Murder was obtained against him. He is in the Birmingham Jail and will be transfered to the Jefferson County Jail.
