UPDATE: Additional information in the investigation revealed that the victim was shot and not stabbed. The victim was also identified.

GRAYSVILLE — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a homicide investigation after a 22-year-old was found stabbed at a home in Graysville.
Deputies were called to the 4200 block of Levine Avenue on a report of a man who had been beaten and was unresponsive. When deputies arrived, they discovered a 19-year-old male suffering from injuries that were first reported as stab wounds. Investigators later determined that he was shot.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies continue to investigate the case. The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of family.
