BRANSON, Mo. — Eleven people, including at least one child, have been reported to be dead after a Ride the Ducks tourist boat capsized on Table Rock Lake the evening of July 19.
Seven other passengers were injured, including one in serious condition, are being treated by Cox Branson.
According to The Springfield News-Leader, the Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader updated the casualty information just after 11 p.m. Thursday. The amphibious boat sank near the Showboat Branson Belle with 31 people reported being on board.
Rader said weather was thought to have caused the boat to capsize with high winds hitting up to 80 mph causing five feet high waves. Emergency personnel are still searching for at least five people. The injured are being treated at Cox Medical.
The statement, issued at 8:20 p.m., specified that the Branson Belle itself was not involved.
