TRUSSVILLE –The entrance to the Carrington subdivision will be closed for most of the day on Wednesday for railroad work, according to the Trussville Police Department.
Motorists who normally leave for work before 8 a.m. on Wednesday will be able to exit onto U.S. Highway 11 as usual, but the road will close at 9 a.m. and remain closed until 5 p.m., according to Lt. Phil Dillon.
“Norfolk Southern Railroad will be closing the entrance off Highway 11 into the Carrington subdivision on Wednesday August 1, 2018 for eight hours from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to repair the railroad crossing,” Dillon said. “There will be no vehicle traffic allowed at the crossing during this time. The detour route will be to go through the gates at Carrington Lakes and Blackjack Road.”
