ARGO — The city of Argo is gearing up to celebrate its first National Night Out on August 6 at City Hall from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The event is a nationwide effort to promote a partnership between the public and law enforcement agencies on the first Tuesday of every August. It also promotes neighborhood safety, according to the National Association of Town Watch, which is a sponsor of the occasion.
NNO in Argo is presented by the Argo Teen Council and will feature food from Southland Barbeque, cotton candy, live music from local musicians and crafts and games. Argo police and firefighters will be on hand with displays of emergency vehicles and a “crime scene” tape maze.
Argo City Hall is located at 100 Blackjack Road.
