Charges of sexual torture against a Pinson teenager has been dismissed, according to court records.

In June, Nicholas Cameron McCloy, 17, was charged after school resource officers were called to Pinson Valley High School on a complaint by a staff member that a student had sexually assaulted a child.
Afterwards, McCloy was interviewed by investigators from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. He was formally charged as an adult with two counts of sexual torture and was taken to the Jefferson County Jail. His bond was set at $500,000.
